About This Spot

Stepping into Samsa Express, you immediately notice the inviting hum of a neighborhood spot where tradition meets everyday ease. The atmosphere here is unpretentious and warm—like a quiet corner where familiar flavors and simple hospitality come together to form a sincere moment out of the usual rush of Brooklyn life. Whether you’re dining in or waiting for a delivery, there’s a calmness that invites you to slow down and savor.

The pace at Samsa Express feels natural, with food prepared to comfort as much as to satisfy. The air carries faint notes of baked samsa, those golden, flaky parcels brimming with spinach or hearty minced meat, hinting at the care behind each hand-formed pastry. Alongside these, slow-cooked Uzbek stews and rustic salads offer a grounded, homey touch—dishes that remind you of kitchen tables and family gatherings without any pretense.

What makes this place quietly remarkable is its sense of authenticity and everyday warmth. Regulars often find themselves returning not just for the flavors, but for the steady friendliness and familiarity Samsa Express offers. It’s a spot where simple pleasures—like a cooling chalop yogurt drink or a deeply satisfying bowl of piti—become little rituals of comfort on a busy day.

The experience here is about connection, both to a cuisine rich in history and to the rhythms of a community that values honest, uncomplicated meals. Samsa Express encourages a moment of discovery—a chance to explore Uzbek staples that feel as approachable as they are filling, making it a cherished find for those who crave something real and quietly fulfilling in the heart of Brooklyn.

We ate there today with my friends from Philadelphia. We had plow, samsas, lamb chops and salad. Food was delicious and fresh! Can't believe it's so much negative comments about that place! I loved it and will definitely go back!

The food is amazing! I went here/ordered from here multiple and it has not disappointed me once. The portions actually make sense for what they are charging and the service is nice. Compared to the other uzbek restaurants in my area I wouldnt even call it competition. This is officially my go to spot for uzbek food that I know wont disappoint.

Piti soup is a great beef boneless broth that is very hearty and fulfilling in the winter. Its from a clay pot so it nice and tender. Comes with bread. Plov was not the best and not to my liking. The whole plate comes with just one piece of beef and is overly drenched in oil. Manti (dumpling) was on point. Shurpa was good as well. Great prices overall compared to other places and food is served relatively fast. They also have kompot, apple and apricot variations with added sugar. I would have liked one w/o sugar. For the bread I would have really liked a healthier whole wheat option instead of the while flour one. With some minor improvements this little hidden spot can do even better. This is my go to spot when I am in the area and want some good Uzbek food for a good price w/o waiting too long when I am on the go.

I went to this place with one of my friends. I never had Turkish food before. But after having the food here, I have been a big fan of Turkish food. Great food. Once you have it , you’d love to place another order . Very much satisfied. And price isn’t that high.
